Description

Silver has played her cards and thrown down the gauntlet. In an effort to drag Diamond out of her agitated state of mind, she has staged a murder mystery and commissioned Diamond to solve the case. But how shall Diamond proceed? Will she prove mentally adept enough to see through Silver's setup and find the truth?

Here's what we know:
-At approximately 3 PM, Diamond and Silver left the house to partake in Pinkie Pie's festive candy giveaway. During that time, the pets were left under the supervision of Randolph, Aunt Spoiled, and Filthy Rich. Diamond and Silver returned at approximately 3:30 PM, giving the pets about thirty minutes of "playtime". Who knows what they could have done during that half-hour?

-Each of these pets was given a specific item by Silver Spoon before she left. As confirmed by Silver Spoon's "biometric research laboratory", each of the pets only touched their own object, and no one else touched one other than their own. Dazzle was given a lead pipe, Peal had a fork, Imperius had a horseshoe, and Iggy had a candelabra.

-Due to process of elimination, we know that one of these four pets is the one that "murdered" Randolph. The "murder" took place approximately five minutes before Diamond and Silver returned. There were no witnesses, aside from the "murderer" and "victim" of course.

-Aside from the objects they each had on them, each of the pets had something else about them that could be recorded as evidence:
-Dazzle had a scuff mark on his forehead.
-Peal had a flower in her hair.
-Imperius was wearing a horseshoe in addition to the one he was holding.
-Iggy had a kiss mark on his cheek.

Each of the four pets has a testimony, explaining what they were doing at the time of the murder. As the lead detective, Diamond must determine what doesn't add up before the trail goes cold and the truth is forever lost. Using clues from the present and the past, perhaps she can figure this out. And though this is all just a game, let's not underestimate what the consequences of Diamond's failure. It may just alter the entire course of the Diamond and Dazzle series...

But I wouldn't dare let such changes take place without the input of you, the viewers. So how shall Diamond proceed? Let's solve this case together, shall we?

"...each of the pets only touched their own object, and no one else touched each one other than that specific pet."

The wording of the second part is a little confusing.  Why not something like "and none of the pet's touched each other's objects."  Actually, if you're going to tell me about fluff in my dialogue then I'd have to return it to you here. Why the second part at all?  If they only touched their own object, then saying they didn't touch each other's objects is obvious.   Mmm... then again, there are a few non-pets in this story, like Filthy and Spoiled. Then "...and no one else touched each other's objects other than that specific pet."  Or make it just one sentence "No one touched any of the objects except for the pets that are holding them."

The main problem is that the wording, as is, is ambiguous and contradictory. "No one else    TOUCHED EACH ONE     except for that specific pet"
As is, it's saying that every object was touched by one of the pets, despite directly going against the first part saying that they only touched their own object.

Also, you have part of the court case in the folder for the detective Diamond arc, which I only know since no one uploaded this arc onto derpibooru.

So were you on a vacation of something? I stopped hearing from you for like a week or so, and then all of a sudden I come back to a story review and comment replies.
