Cinematic Diamond

Those of you interested in the cinematic arts may be familiar with something known as the "Bechdel Test". It's a simple test used to determine if a movie suffers from gender bias and all that. In order to pass, the movie must contain 1) at least two women who 2) talk to each other 3) about something other than a man. It's not a perfect test, but it can be useful.

Looking at Diamond's appearances in the show and in fan works and how she's generally used, I've developed my own Bechdel Test for the incorporation of Diamond's character. In order to pass my test, Diamond Tiara must 1) have a civil conversation (no insults or teasing) 2) with someone other than Silver Spoon 3) about something unrelated to the CMC. In my opinion, passing this test is indicative of a more progressive take on Diamond's character.

To date, Ponvyille Confidential and Twilight Time are the only episodes to pass this test.

Pinkie Pride almost passed, but a line in a song isn't really a "conversation". 

Lost Mark is a tricky one. Every conversation she has is either uncivil or about the CMC, but she's not always the one being uncivil. I can't really call it a progressive Diamond episode, but it came closer to passing than something like FTTF or OBA.
